<\/p>\nWenn es darauf ankommt, dann ist Data Protector genau die richtige Wahl f\u00fcr schnelle Backups und die Einhaltung von Sicherungszeiten (backup window). In einer Installation eines HP Partners konnten die Werte – siehe Bilder – erreicht werden. Es handelte sich dabei um ein Backup von 5 virtuellen Maschinen und 15 Mountpoints von diversen Servern (virtuell und physikalisch), in Summe 20 Streams im HP Data Protector. Das Backupziel war eine HP StoreOnce Appliance 4420, geschrieben wurde auf 2 Catalyst Stores. Das 20 GbE Netzwerk war zu \u00fcber 55% ausgelastet, eine Steigerung der Geschwindigkeit w\u00e4re noch locker m\u00f6glich, jedoch konnten keine zus\u00e4tzlichen Server in der Migrationsphase aufgenommen werden und somit auch nicht zus\u00e4tzliche Quelldaten. Die Funktion der Source Side Deduplication im HP Data Protector kann auch erst nach erfolgter Migration genutzt werden, ich bin daher auf einen weiteren Test gespannt und erwarte noch einen weiteren Anstieg der Backupperformance.<\/p>\n
