Oft liefern aber die zu sichernden Clients nicht gen\u00fcgend Daten, da die Festplatten zu langsam sind. Eine effektive Methode herauszufinden ob der Server gen\u00fcgend Daten liefern kann ist mit einem Null-Device m\u00f6glich. Wenn es aber schnell gehen soll und ohne viel Konfigurationsaufwand, so ist auch noch der Prozess <code>vbda<\/code> verf\u00fcgbar. VBDA &#8211; Volume Backup Disk Agent &#8211; liest normalerweise die Dateien und \u00fcbergibt sie an den Medien-Agent. VBDA kann aber auch f\u00fcr eine Performancemessung genutzt werden. Mit ein paar Parametern wird ein Backup simuliert und man erh\u00e4lt die Lesegeschwindigkeit des Servers.<\/p>\n<p><u>Beispiel (Windows, Linux\/Unix \u00e4hnlich):<\/u><br \/><code>\"c:\\program files\\omniback\\bin\\vbda.exe\" -vol \/C -trees \"\/Windows\/System32\" -out nul -profile<\/code>. Der Befehl f\u00fchrt ein Backup des <code>C: Volumes<\/code> aus und soll dabei das Verzeichnis <code>\/Windows\/system32<\/code> sichern (Achtung beim Separator).
