Es gibt unz\u00e4hlige M\u00f6glichkeiten das Verhalten von Data Protector mittels Parametern zu beeinflussen. Die Konfigurationsdatei\u00a0global<\/strong>, welche auf dem Cell Manager gepflegt wird, beeinflusst dabei die komplette Data Protector Cell. Mit der omnirc<\/strong>\u00a0Konfigurationsdatei l\u00e4sst sich das Verhalten eines einzelnen Client Systems oder einer auf diesem installierten Komponente beeinflussen.\u00a0Besonders in gr\u00f6\u00dferen Umgebungen kann die Verwaltung der omnirc Optionen einige Zeit in Anspruch nehmen.<\/p>\n

\u00dcber die Jahre haben Kunden unterschiedliche L\u00f6sungen f\u00fcr dieses Herausforderung gefunden, z.B. das perl Skript omnircsync.pl (in den Downloads<\/a> verf\u00fcgbar), welches eine Verteilung von omnirc Optionen mittels\u00a0util_cmd -setomnirc<\/em> erm\u00f6glicht.\u00a0Seit\u00a0Data Protector A.10.03<\/strong>\u00a0steht diese Funktion allen Nutzern direkt zur Verf\u00fcgung\u00a0und wir m\u00f6chten in diesem Beitrag einige n\u00fctzliche Beispiele f\u00fcr den Umgang mit dem neuen Kommando\u00a0omnicc -update_omnirc<\/em> teilen.<\/p>\n

Es erlaubt unter anderem das Verteilen einer einzelnen omnirc Option pro Aufruf an einen spezifischen Client, an Clients mit einem bestimmten Betriebssystem oder an Clients auf denen eine spezifische Komponente installiert ist.<\/p>\n
