With Data Protector 9.02 a restart of a backup with failed objects may fail with the error “Invalid Message Format”. The error is caused by the introduction of the “Pause \/ Resume” feature in DP 9.02. As a solution you can add the variable UseJCEForRestartResume=0<\/code> to the configuration file global<\/code>.
