I found your blog via Google while searching for the related topic, your blog came up. Thank you for the fantastic blog. Amazingg skills! Continue man, you rock!
Hi:
After installed DPWIN_00477 in the User Interface (GUI) if you try to configure a backup in Oracle Server section, and select the execution of a Script (pre-exec or post-exec) you can only select a NON-Windows server. That’s what i’ve found. I’m using DP 6.11 with HP-UX Cell Manager and Windows XP to run User Interface (GUI).
Regards! (great blog!)
Hi dp_Admin, you may drop a case to get this fixed. As far as I know, at least 3 Site specific patches were released at the end of december to address some minor bugs. One ssp is for the vepa patch dpwin_00490. There is a chance that there is a ssp for your problem too. Please keep me updated, I’ll update the Blog.
Yes, I got an open case with HP support and it’s going to be passed to higher support level. It has been marked as “possible bug”… 😉 I’ll send an update if there is new information.
Hi again:
I’ve received an email from HP support (India) to open a bug. I’ve found a workaround that he confirms is working: use Java GUI instead “classic” GUI.
Regards.
this is a real very good content. I will be definitely getting excited about the following publish.
