hi,
i have 2 question. i´m new using hp data protector. my current data protector is 7.0.
1. i need to update to 7.0.1 before update to 7.03?
2. after agent update in client, i have to reboot server, or only restart hp data protector services on client?
rgds
Hi Edwin,
1. you can directly upgrade from 7.00 to 7.03, there is no reason to use a step between.
2. Once you upgraded your cell server (and in most case it is the installation server too), you can upgrade the Clients from GUI. During the upgrade the service (omniinet) on the client is started automatically, a reboot for the client is not required. So just push the upgrade and you are done.
Best regards
Daniel
Hello,
even if I install the bundle to upgrade our DP installation from 7.00 to 7.03, I see alway, using swinstall or omnisv -version, the version 7.00.
Is it correct?
Thank you very much.
best regards

Hi Giuseppe,
yes that is correct and the behavior as it was the case for older DP versions…
Meanwhile and with current version of Data Protector the version will be displayed as 9.07_b110 (example).
Best regards
Daniel
I can not see patch updated in the DP 7.0 after running patches bundles, but patches are shown when run the command “omnicheck -patches -host hostname”
